The Romanian Journal of European Studies no.4/2005

Due to the unexpected lack of [financial] support from the West University of Timisoara rector’s office for our migration projects, we were obliged to postpone the launching of the new Journal on migration, planed for the end of the year 2006. The authors which submitted papers for the migration journal are requested to accept our sincere apologises for any problems we caused as regarding their academic expectations arose as linked to our project. We contact each contributor by e-mail to propose a proper way to use the results of their scientific research (e.g. inclusion in an academic book). We thank everybody for the interest in our migration project.

We recall that we invited migration specialists and experts to submit papers for a new peer-reviewed migration journal, proposed to be launched at the end of 2006 - as depending of the logistic support provided by the host university (proposed areas of interest: migration, asylum, refugees, borders, labour migration, mobility, development, remittances, demographic trends, freedom of movement, freedom of establishment, Migration / European Law, minorities, human rights). The preparation of this journal is the main goal of Migration.ro project’s members for 2007 (we will keep informed our partners with the projected activities for 2007; any proposals concerning a proper funding of the journal will be taken into consideration).
